Case Studies

Our work so far.

We’re an early-stage studio, so this page is short — one client build, told properly, with numbers you can check yourself. No composites, no borrowed logos, no invented graphs.

Case Study 01 · Construction & Landscaping

Coastal Concrete Sleepers — Central Coast, NSW

A concrete sleeper supplier with no website at all, competing against national players — now with a site that turns local searches into quote requests.

Client build

The numbers, measured

We ran Playwright against the live homepage (Chromium, desktop, broadband): 0.76s to first contentful paint, 27 requests, ~600KB transferred. Don’t take our word for it — the PageSpeed button below runs against the live domain, not a staging copy.

Scope at a glance

Everything shipped in one fixed-price build — no monthly platform fees, and the client owns the code outright.

The Build

Problem, approach, stack, proof.

01

The problem

No web presence at all. Concrete sleepers — the backbone of every retaining wall — are a search-and-phone-call trade, and every search in the region was going to national suppliers with bigger budgets.

02

The approach

Build for the search “concrete sleepers near me”. A product catalogue with real specs, a quote-request flow instead of a generic contact form, suburb pages across the Central Coast, Newcastle and Sydney — and the phone number in view at all times.

03

The stack

Hand-coded HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript — no framework, no theme, no page builder. Full LocalBusiness schema, self-hosted assets, static hosting on an edge network. Nothing to patch, nothing to ransom.

The proof

The screenshots above are the real homepage, captured from the live site. The load numbers come from our own Playwright runs — and the PageSpeed link runs the same test independently, on the live domain, whenever you want.

Case Studies 02–04

The ones we haven’t written yet.

This page grows one real build at a time. These are the three stories we see every time someone sends us their current site for a review — each is a case study waiting to happen. Maybe yours.

The Template Hand-Me-Down

Mortgage brokers, accountants and consultants who paid $5,000–$8,000 for a “custom” WordPress site that turns out to be a $79 ThemeForest template. The contact form still has placeholder text. The SEO plugin is installed but never configured. Load time? Don’t ask.

The case study we’d write: sub-second loads, proper LocalBusiness schema, suburb pages that rank, and no monthly plugin ransom.

The Rented DIY Site

Business owners who started on Wix or Squarespace because "$29 a month feels cheap.” Five years later they’ve spent $2,000+ and own nothing. The site loads in 6 seconds, ranks on page 4, and looks identical to a competitor three suburbs over — same template.

The case study we’d write: a site you own outright — code, design and hosting choice — that costs less over five years than the “cheap” option.

The Pretty Site That Doesn’t Sell

The $12,000 award-winning website that converts at 0.3%. Beautiful parallax, custom 3D, typography that belongs in a gallery — and a “Buy Now” button buried under three scrolls of brand copy that never mentions what the business actually sells.

The case study we’d write: the same brand standard with conversion-first architecture — clear CTAs, fast loads, mobile nav that works.
