Law firm websites that earn trust in eight seconds.
Someone searching “family lawyer Melbourne” at midnight is not comparing design portfolios. They’re looking for competence and empathy — and they decide in about eight seconds.
Australian law firm websites tend to one of two failures: overdesigned agency showpieces that say nothing, or template sites that look a decade old. Neither builds the trust that turns a distressed searcher into a client.
What works is unglamorous: practice area pages that actually explain, lawyer profiles that make picking up the phone feel safe, and a site fast enough to respect someone searching at their worst moment.
The standard
What a law firm site has to get right
Practice area pages that explain
"We handle family law” is not a page. Divorce, property settlement, custody — each gets a page that answers real questions and ranks for "[practice area] lawyer [suburb]".
Lawyer profiles that build trust
Credentials, expertise, memberships, publications — and a human element that makes a nervous client comfortable calling.
Compliance with advertising rules
Legal advertising is regulated state by state. Proper disclaimers, accurate credentials, and nothing that oversteps.
Confidential contact forms
Enquiry forms with confidentiality notices, handled securely. First contact often happens at someone’s most vulnerable moment.
Accessibility as standard
Clear language, keyboard navigation, proper contrast. No potential client excluded.

The terms, in plain English
Nothing upfront. Ever.
Nothing upfront. You see the design first. On approval, a 50% deposit begins the build; the balance is due at launch — the site goes live when the final payment lands. Walk away before approval owing nothing.
Hosting is free for most sites on our edge network. Large builds — e-commerce, web apps, 12+ pages — move to managed hosting from $49/mo. Cancel anytime; you own everything either way.
Edits: 30/60/90 days of free fixes per tier — anything broken, off-brief or not performing as agreed is fixed free. New pages, new features, restyling and routine content updates bill at standard rates ($150/hr, or HEKAWEB Care at $99/mo: hosting, monitoring, priority queue, up to 2h/mo of content updates), cancel anytime.
Handover: Private Git repository, cloud archive, and a signed IP transfer deed. The code is legally, provably yours.
FAQ
Legal website questions
Yes. We build with the advertising guidelines of your state’s law society in mind — accurate credential display, required disclaimers, and no prohibited claims. You review everything before it goes live; nothing publishes without your sign-off.
Yes. Signature builds include a CMS blog, so your team can publish insights and case notes without touching code. It’s also how firms rank for the long-tail questions clients actually search.
It means what it says: one client per industry, per council area. If I build the website for a law firm in your council area, I won’t build one for a competing law firm in the same LGA. Your slot is reserved for good.
A typical firm build is a Signature build at $4,800 — practice area pages, lawyer profiles, insights CMS, live in about 3–4 weeks. Sole practitioners start at Launch $2,400. Bigger builds — a site plus a web app — go to Empire $9,600. All prices AUD, ex GST. Nothing upfront. You see the design first. On approval, a 50% deposit begins the build; the balance is due at launch — the site goes live when the final payment lands. Walk away before approval owing nothing.
